Wedding Table Centerpieces

A lot of conversation takes place at the table and the centerpiece is an active part, if not the subject, of table chitty chatter. It therefore goes without saying that the centerpiece must be attractive and stand out, yet at the same time follow the theme and color scheme of the wedding.

A wedding table decoration is quite empty without a centerpiece to aggrandize the beauty and splendor of the table. A lot of problems are centered on trying to have the perfect centerpiece. It is quite easy to create a wonderful look just by trying out all the centerpiece ideas and using the best looking centerpiece.

The most likely centerpiece ideas for a wedding that has been inspired by the oriental culture are a huge lily pad with a scented candle in the middle burning bright or an origami statuette created by crepe paper in a matching color. There are a lot more oriental themed centerpiece ideas that may cause astir amongst the guests.

Hanging a Chinese designed mat which has Chinese symbols printed on it can be a truly unique design. The printed symbols should be suitable prints like that of love and peace and other Chinese proverbs that wish the bride and groom goodwill for the rest of their lives. Or better still Chinese lanterns can be hung above the guests. The idea works best at night.

If you are a crystal and figurine junkie then you might want to showcase that side of yourself by making a glass blown image that can be put in the middle of all tables. Swarovski crystals, gold, silver and rhinestone are materials that can be incorporated in the image, for example; the statuette of a Siamese cat can be further decorated by placing two crystals as eyes. Fruit are also natural elements that can be used. Bunches of grapes or simple fruits like lemons and lime can have s stunning effect on a bare table. They can be used if they match with the color scheme of the table.

A bouquet of flowers always has a desirable effect as a table centerpiece. Their scent refreshes the guests’ noses and sends smiles to their faces. The bride can always ensure that she makes her favorite type of flower the centerpiece thereby sharing a part of her with the guests.

There are a lot of ideas for the centerpiece and they can be easily put into the wedding’s plan if they suit and match with the theme and the color scheme of the wedding; but if you fancy a certain centerpiece which is a bit off, go for it!
